The Spiral’s geometry is inextricably linked to the ideas of growth, progression and evolution since its appearance in the paleolithic caves and neolithic ceramics.
It possesses the energy of continuous motion able to reactivate vital power.
In architecture we find its three-dimensional equivalent in the spiral staircase.
The spiral staircase is a unicursal labyrinth in which you have no choice but to walk a long whirling corridor, it's an anti-mnemonic space deprived of a perspective vision.
The passage from darkness to light is given by a progression from a face-weft satin to a face-warp satin.
L’esprit de l’escalier in this case is not just a late dialectic flash of inspiration but is rather an embroidered trail, a golden thread willing to drive us along the path.
